Regular Guests Stories
Lex van Rijn, Vice President of the international Regular Guests-Club Kitzbühel, Knight of the Order of Oranje-Nassau.
1952 after completing my studies at the Sports University in Holland, I went to Kufstein to attend as a witness at the wedding of a friend. Here I got the taste to ski. After many runs on the pistes, I wanted to see more of Austria and went on a friends advice to Kitzbühel. It was an absolute ski paradise with a lot more to offer. Now there are golf courses, luxury hotels, gourmet restaurants, tennis courts, swimming pools and even car rallies. In Kitz I started skiing on the right track.
Marie Thérèse - Hansi Hinterseer Fan-Club in France
A love of nature and the tranquility of the mountain are for me and my family a beautiful story. 40 years ago we visited the Tyrol region for the first time. Since then, it has become our favourite holiday destination and we travel to the region several times a year. Already in the 70s, we raved about the skiing star Hansi Hinterseer Kitzbühel. It all began in 1994! Hansi Hinterseer was more often seen in the music shows and he always raved about the mountains of his homeland and Kitzbühel. His charisma and enthusiasm was catching and would not let us go!
Ulrich Wohlfarth from Germany - over 50 years visiting Kitzbühel!
Ulrich Wohlfarth, has been a Kitzbühel-lover for more than 50 years and is currently President of the International Loyalty Club of Kitzbühel. We thank Ulrich Wohlfarth for the great cooperation and valuable work as president of the Loyalty Club of the Kitzbühel region. Here Mr. Wohlfarth told his personal story ... Kitzbühel mid-February 1954 - time to ski – I travelled to the Arlberg, found a stone cold mountain hut in St. Anton - I just drove off. The tourist office in St. Anton offered me a couch instead - so my thoughts – as I had not booked was to be on my way. Thank God I had set off early in the day, I was at the Arlberg at noon. Sankt Anton was packed! Now what? I suddenly it came to mind, Kitzbühel. I had heard a lot about it and so I decided to turn the wheel of my "VW Beetle" and continue to Kitzbühel. Über Pass Thurn, I then met, in the late afternoon in Kitzbühel a ...
Peter Schulze aus Deutschland – 75 Jahre in Kitzbühel
On 6 February 2012 Peter Schulze from Germany (near Bad Soden) was thanked for 75 years of being true to Kitzbühel by Nicoletta Plumm of the Kitzbühel Tourism. Peter Schulze was six years old when he made his first holiday in Kitz with his parents. The Schulze family also learned how to ski. At Christmas 1954, Mr. Schulz became engaged to his wife in the romantic Kitzbühel. Zuerst the Schulze family always stayed at the Sporthotel Reisch and in later years the family stayed at the Alpine house on the Kitzbühel Horn. Since 1978 they have spent their holidays in the mountain hotel Ehrenbachhöhe Hahnenkamm. The children and grandchildren think of Kitzbühel as their second home. We thank Schulze family for their loyalty to Kitzbühel and wish them continued joy and relaxation in their adopted home.
