Kitzbühel Water World
Kitzbühel offers numerous recreational and relaxation opportunities around water. The Schwarzsee Lake between Kitzbühel and Reith is one of the most beautiful bathing lakes in the Alps. The base of the lake consists of peat soil and this helps it warm up quickly in spring developing beneficial health effects. It is also possible to swim at the moor pool at the Gieringer Weiher, the Badwelt Aquarena, Kitzbühel’s indoor swimming pool and the forest swimming pool in Jochberg.
The Schwarzsee (the Black Lake), which lies between Kitzbühel and Reith is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Alps. It has some lovely areas to enjoy a walk and afterwards you can jump into the cool, healthy marsh water and enjoy some sunshine surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. Other highlights and activities at the Schwarzsee are the electric propelled boats, with which you can sail across the lake, the beach volleyball courts and the children’s water slides. If you fancy a spot of relaxation you can pamper yourself and lie on the sun terraces of the Seebistro whilst enjoying snacks and coffee.
Romantic Gieringer Weiher
If you have already explored the Schwarzsee, the Gieringer Weiher offers an easy alternative to hiking and biking in the area of "Bichlach" for pure relaxation and recovery. Gieringer Weiher is a small romantic lake and a natural oasis of calm and relaxation where pets are also allowed.
